Zaza's
challenge
Our mission was to come up with a brand name and design a box for a new line of frozen pizza bites, or "pizza muffins". We had to appeal to all ages, from after-school-snacking kids to parents with purchasing power to young adults looking to connect with their inner child. The packaging had to be appetizing and eye-catching, even from behind the sliding doors of the freezer aisle.

The whole office fell in love with Zaza as soon as they met him, and we knew he would be the hero of the brand! Bold, bright colors jump off the freezer shelf, while fun character design paired with whimsical yet elevated typography seeks to appeal to kids and adults alike. "Zaza's" is a snappy, memorable name that rolls off the tongue, reminiscent of your favorite mom-and-pop Italian restaurant (and of pizza, of course).
