Challenge

How do you move an audience between 2 and 5 away from diapers and into superhero underwear? Handcraft has a problem; Millennial parents don’t potty train their toddlers early enough – with some of their kids still wearing diapers at ages 4 - 5. Not good for America’s No. 1 children’s underwear maker.

Approach

A video that kids and parents alike could enjoy. A film that was clear and honest, yet tasteful enough to show inside Target, Walmart, and the like. We designed and animated original characters and voices to tell the story and explain the diaper dilemma straight on. The result was a healthy online debate among parents, with even healthcare experts chiming in, leading to an uptake in sales after 9 months of running the campaign. (9 months?)
